The YMCA has made the difficult decision to cancel the YMCA Run for the Kids on April 19th, 2020. Our YMCA is responding to COVID-19 across all programs and service areas, including events. The health and safety of participants, volunteers, providers and staff is extremely important to us.
We will make every attempt to make sure the YMCA Run for the Kids is rescheduled in the future and will ensure that we communicate once a new date is set.

Join us on Sunday April 19th, 2020 to run or walk off those winter blues in support of local children and families.
The YMCA of Central East Ontario invites runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to come out on April 19th to get outside, have fun and support the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
All proceeds from this event directly support the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, which raises much needed resources to provide local children, youth and families with access to healthy recreation, programming and day camp opportunities, regardless of their financial situation.
With 4 different distance options, cool swag, a kids and adult after party, this event is for everyone!
Race options are:
- 10 km (timed) 10:00 am start. Accurate, measured course.
- 2 x 5km team run (timed) 10:00 am start
*2 team members each run 5km to complete 10km time. Accurate, measured course.

Kids 1 km Superhero Fun Run (9:30 am start). Accurate, measured course.
Every registered runner 19+ will get a FREE BEER and PIZZA at the YMCA Run Afterparty!
Kids registered for the Superhero 1K receive a cape and mask!
*** The first 400 runners to register in the 5K, 2 x 5K Relay and the 10K will receive a pair of Touch Screen Gloves
(Perfect for unpredictable spring weather!) ****
Race Route
Flat, Fast, Accurate 5k loop that you will run once (5k) or twice (10k). 5k Relay will exchange their chip in transition zone.
